July 26, 2010 For those of you who didn't know, Geoff has moved back to the Maritimes to focus on his business locally. He drove home last week before the IWK 250 weekend to attend the Sportsman 100 lap race with Steve Halpin. Things have been steady for him since he has been home.   "I drove home last week and went to the 100 lap Sportsman race with Steve Halpin. When we unloaded, we were pretty decent and only made a few minimal changes to the car. Being there last year together helped us a ton, I think . Not only did Steve get seat time there last year, but I learned how much different you have to set the cars up for that place. By the end of practice we were the fastest on the board with a 15.92. We started the race in 12th and I told Steve to just ride, save his stuff and we would race the last 30 laps. He was in second by lap 65 and just riding until he started fading off. He ended up coming in the pits under green to only have 7lbs in the right front tire. I think we had the car to beat but who's to say? I know for sure we were in contention and had a good piece. " Geoff said "This past weekend we headed to Speedway 660 with the car and things went a lot better for us. After posting the fastest time in the final practice Steve went on to finish 3rd in his heat and capture the Feature win. We've been fighting a few things with this car all year and finally got it figured out a few weeks back and I think Steve's going to be a car to watch for in the maritimes for the remainder of the year. I was also there helping rookie pro stock driver Carl Raeburn. Our goal was simple... it was to make the race and just get seat time and get more comforatble around traffic. Things were going good until lap 20 where there was a wreck in front of us that Carl just couldn't avoid. It's a shame that the car is torn up some but I'm glad we didn't go back out there. I dont know what was with these guys tonight but it was a wreck fest mid pack. " Call Geoff today if you want to order any parts or book your car in for some work.
